2 Pack Car Seat Gap Filler, PU Leather Foam Wedge Plug for Seat and Console Gap, Universal Fit

Original price was: $2.99.Current price is: $1.99.

A pair of wedge-shaped fillers that close the slot between your seat and the centre console — the gap your phone, coins and keys keep disappearing into. Soft PU leather-look cover over a high-density foam core, pressed into the gap and held by friction alone: no adhesive, no screws, nothing left behind when you pull it out. A cut-out at one end keeps the seat belt buckle receiver fully exposed, and the foam flexes as the seat slides. Each is about 17.7 in (45 cm) long and suits gaps of roughly 0.8–1.6 in (20–40 mm), so measure yours first. Two per pack, one for each side.

Two soft wedge plugs that close the slot between the seat and the console — the one your phone keeps disappearing into.

Why it matters

The gap that eats your phone.

Every car has one: the slot between the seat and the centre console, wide enough for a phone to slide into and too narrow for a hand to follow. Coins, keys, a parking ticket, the last of a packet of mints — they all end up in the same place. Getting them out usually means sliding the seat right back, finding a torch and something long enough to hook them, and even then whatever is under the seat rail tends to stay there, rattling for months.

  • ✓A phone wedged at an angle will not come out. You cannot grip it, the seat will not move far enough, and it is often scratched by the time you reach it.
  • ✓Coins and keys drop into the rail. Loose metal under a seat rail is how a seat starts to stick, and how a rattle becomes permanent.
  • ✓Small items vanish into the trim. A pen, a lipstick or a card slot cover slides into the console side and never comes out with a vacuum.
  • ✓You cannot deal with it while driving. Letting go of the wheel to fish a card out at a toll booth is not an option.

What it does

A soft wedge that presses into the gap and stays there.

Each filler is a wedge: thick along the top, tapering to a thin lip at the bottom, so it presses into the slot and grips by friction alone. Nothing is glued to your car, nothing is screwed into the trim, and if you want the gap back you simply pull it out. The cut-out at one end lines up with the seat belt buckle receiver, so the catch stays fully exposed and works exactly as it did before. And because the inside is foam rather than hard plastic, the seat slides past the filler instead of grinding against it.

Straight down on the slot: the wedge sits in the gap between the seat and the console, stitched edge up and flush on both sides, so nothing can slip through.

01
Wedged, not glued
The taper is what holds it: press it into the gap and friction does the rest. Pull it out in one move with no residue.
02
The buckle stays clear
The cut-out at one end sits around the belt receiver, so the catch is still where your hand expects it.
03
Foam core, leather-look skin
Soft enough for the seat to slide past, firm enough to spring back instead of going slack in the slot.
04
Two per pack
One for the driver’s side and one for the passenger’s — the two slots that collect everything.
Build & details

Foam inside, leather-look outside.

Two materials, each doing one job. The high-density foam core is what compresses into the gap and springs back, so the filler keeps its grip instead of going flat after a month. The PU leather-look cover is what you see and touch: matte, soft, wipe-clean and stitched along its edges rather than glued, so it does not peel open after a hot summer on a dashboard.

The cut end: a stitched leather-look cover wrapped around a compressible foam core, tapering to a thin lip.

  • ✓High-density foam core. Compresses into the gap and springs back, so it stays gripped rather than loosening off after a few weeks.
  • ✓PU leather-look cover. Matte and soft-touch with a fine grain, so it reads as part of the interior rather than an accessory.
  • ✓Stitched edges, not glued. The seam runs around the cover, which is why it does not lift or peel at the ends.
  • ✓Wedge profile, approx. 45 cm. Thick at the top and tapered at the lip, long enough to close the slot in most cars while leaving the buckle and controls clear.
Fitting it

Two minutes, no tools, nothing glued to the car.

There is no adhesive backing and no clips to line up. What there is, is one measurement you should take first, and one thing you should check afterwards.

1
Measure the gap
Check it at its narrowest point. These suit gaps of roughly 0.8–1.6 in (20–40 mm) — narrower and the filler will stand proud, wider and it can work its way through.
2
Line the cut-out up with the buckle
Push the wedge down into the gap, cut-out end toward the belt receiver, until it sits flush and the buckle is fully exposed and still clicks as normal.
3
Slide the seat through its full travel
Forward and back, and check the power-seat switch panel. If anything catches or the seat will not move freely, re-seat the filler before you leave it there.

Will it fit

Will it fit your car?

This is one of the few car accessories where the measurement genuinely decides it, so here is the whole checklist in one table.

What to check This filler Result
Gap width Suits approx. 0.8–1.6 in (20–40 mm) Measure at the narrowest point; narrower will stand proud, wider can drop through
Length Approx. 17.7 in (45 cm) each Covers the length of the slot in most cars
Seat belt buckle Cut-out at one end The belt receiver stays exposed and works as before
Power seats Flexible foam body, no adhesive Check the switch panel and full seat travel after fitting
Material PU leather-look cover over foam core Matte, wipe-clean, and leaves nothing behind when removed
Quantity 2 fillers One for each side of the console
Note: measure the gap at its narrowest point and line the cut-out up with the seat belt buckle before you rely on it. Keep the filler on the console side of the seat, and never place anything over the outer edge of a seat where the side airbag seam runs.
How it compares

Foam wedge, hard plastic organiser, or a rolled-up towel.

All three close the gap on the day you fit them. They part company when the seat starts moving back and forth, and when summer arrives.

Foam wedge 2-pack (these) Hard plastic organiser Rolled-up towel or sponge
How it holds Wedge taper presses into the gap and grips by friction Rigid body needs a near-exact fit, or adhesive pads Squashes flat and works its way out
Fit Soft foam compresses into gaps of roughly 0.8–1.6 in Fixed size; a small mismatch means it rattles or jams Whatever shape it happens to crush into
When the seat moves Foam flexes, the seat slides past it Hard edges catch on the rail and mark the trim Gets pushed out of place and disappears
Seat belt buckle Cut-out keeps the receiver exposed Often sits over the buckle or the seat controls Usually covers the buckle end of the gap
Cleaning Wipe with a damp cloth Crumbs collect in every seam Replace it
Who it suits Anyone who has lost a phone down the slot Drivers who want storage slots as well as a filler A free five-minute stopgap

Care & maintenance

Nothing to top up, nothing to replace.

A foam wedge has no moving parts and no consumables. Four small habits keep it seated and looking like part of the interior.

Two black leather-look wedge gap fillers side by side on a worktop with a damp cloth behind them

Two fillers and a damp cloth — the whole maintenance kit.

1
Wipe it with a damp cloth
The cover is the part you see, so give it a wipe when you clean the interior — no solvents or polish.
2
Check it when you clean the car
One press with two fingers tells you it is still seated, and that the cut-out is still lined up with the belt receiver.
3
Move the seat occasionally
Sliding the seat through its full travel now and then stops the foam taking a permanent set in one position.
4
If it works loose, re-seat it
A filler that has been pushed sideways is no longer gripping. Pull it out and push it back down straight.
Before you buy

Questions we get most.

Will it fit my car?
Measure the gap at its narrowest point between the seat and the console. These suit gaps of roughly 0.8–1.6 in (20–40 mm). Narrower than that and the filler will stand proud of the gap; wider and it can work its way down through.
Does it block the seat belt?
Not when it is fitted correctly. The cut-out sits at the buckle end so the receiver stays fully exposed. Check it clicks as normal before you rely on it, and re-seat the filler if the cut-out is not lined up.
Will it stop the seat from sliding?
The body is soft foam, so the seat slides past it rather than into it. Still, move the seat through its full travel after fitting and keep the power-seat switch panel clear — and if anything catches, do not force it.
Does it need adhesive or screws?
No. It is held by the wedge — the taper presses against both sides of the gap. That also means it pulls straight out with no residue if you want the gap back.
Is it safe with heated seats or airbags?
Yes. It sits in the gap beside the seat rather than on it, and connects to nothing electrical. As with anything in a car interior, keep it clear of the seat’s outer edge, where the side airbag seam runs.
